A: You can use professional scan to enter the frequency for your area. The frequencies are available from www.dba.org.au. See Q17. A: Menu > Main Menu > Timer > Select Position, OK > edit the times date and channel > Activate = Yes > Exit > Exit > OK to Save.

A: There are many variables that can effect the recording time, however you can expect up to 28hours of recording time quite comfortably.
A: The PVR-X10 does not allow you to watch one channel and record another. You can however, record one channel and watch a different, previously recorded program.
You may also watch your regular analog television while the PVR-X10 is recording. A: Menu > Main Menu > Settings > Signal Output > Digital Audio.
A: Just press the Picture Format button (middle button, top row) to sequence through the different picture output settings until you find the one that best suits your preferences.
A: To transfer your recordings to your PC requires that you have a video capture device connected to your PC. You simply follow the same method as you would with a VCR or DVD Recorder.
A: PVR > 7 > Select program from list, OK > Play, OK.
A: The only way to record the broadcast with closed captions is via a VCR or other external recording device.
However, if you have a TV set that supports Teletext, you can view closed captions by turning Teletext on, on your TV set, as the PVR-X10 also records the teletext transmission. However, as PVR's are generally not designed to playback recorded Closed-Captions, you may experience some delay. A: The hard drive that comes pre-installed with your PVR-X10 has been customized for use specifically in the PVR and therefore will not accept a different hard drive, regardless of capacity.
A: No, the PVR-X10 only allows recording of free-to-air digital television broadcasts.
A: It may be necessary to rescan your channels by going to Factory Defaults and rescanning via Australia and choosing <other> as your State. See this link, for a step-by-step guide.
