Upsonic has exclusively focused on the development of Uninterrupted Power Supplies (UPSes) for over 3 decades. For most this history, Radio Parts has worked with Upsonic in delivering their product to the market via Radio Parts resellers and industry.
While Upsonic is 100% Aussie owned, the real reason Radio Parts supports them is threefold:
- Upsonic has only a few distributors (unlike the global rivals), meaning that we can deliver margin to our Upsonic resellers and lower costs to trade and industry.
- Second, while we have a product specialist, Ben Marshall, he is in turn supported by an Upsonic project team. These guys focus on anything from power stations to EFTPOS terminals, so throw any questions at these guys!
- Lastly, a 3 year warranty (2yr battery), not as a marketing ploy to sell more units, but rather as a reflection of product quality.
UPS models have seen few changes over these years, so the release of the Cloud Series has grabbed our attention. This series is True Online, so while home PCs are commonly supported by Line Interactive UPSes, True Online is now the popular choice for most businesses. A simple way of understanding True Online is to imagine dirty power from a power point at one side and a piece of equipment on the other side. Completely separating both is a battery. The battery generates a perfect sine wave for squeaky clean power, less nasty surprises and greater product life.
While the Upsonic IRT and IS series also delivered great power, the Cloud Series now takes an extra step by supporting virtualization and the Cloud. The virtualized environment and virtual servers may sound strange and foreign, but you and I are already using these servers. I bet pretty soon, your business will also use these nebulous wonders. The best bit, the Cloud Series doesn’t cost anymore than its predecessors, so its a free lunch!
