BASS SOLUTION
We at Earthquake are always looking for ways to make our products as versatile as possible. We realized that not everyone has enough open space to accommodate a one or even two subwoofer system for their home theater. There are folks who want high-end audio products, but want them hidden away whether it be space limitations or for aesthetic reasons. Our THOR subwoofer system solves those problems and with little modification can be placed in the floor or even up inside the ceiling.
We ran the outside panel of the THOR through a table saw so that it would measure 14 inches across and built a wooden frame that would fit to the enclosure.
With the frame placed to the enclosure, the whole assembly measured less than 6 inches in depth. The wooden frame can be adhered to the enclosure with silicone and then mounted up inside the ceiling or from underneath the floor. A normal heater register can also be used to cover the THOR and you have a high-end subwoofer system that is hidden and out of sight. Custom home installers run into problems and we at Earthquake Sound offer solutions.
